The Role:
Aspire Türkiye is looking for an Outreach and Communications Associate to support its efforts in expanding visibility, strengthening community engagement, and managing digital communication channels. The Associate will play a key role in maintaining partnerships, supporting alumni engagement, and executing Aspire Türkiye’s communications across social media and digital platforms.
*Aspire Türkiye is a local Foundry of Aspire Institute; Employment will be under Aspire Türkiye, with the role working closely with both local and global teams to drive the organization’s vision forward.
Work Environment:
Hybrid role based in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications & Content Creation(40%)
- Develop and execute communication strategies to promote Aspire Türkiye’s initiatives (primarily in Turkish).
- Create compelling content for Aspire Türkiye’s social media channels, newsletters, and website.
- Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy and engagement.
- Assist in the development of promotional materials and outreach campaigns.
Social Media & Community Engagement(30%)
- Manage Aspire Türkiye’s social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok and Youtube) with consistent branding and messaging.
- Plan and execute content strategies to increase engagement and reach.
- Create and manage targeted social media ad campaigns (Mostly, Instagram TikTok, etc.) to increase visibility and engagement, tracking performance and optimizing as needed.
- Monitor social media analytics and optimize content based on insights..
- Engage with the Aspire Türkiye community online, responding to messages and fostering discussions.
- Support alumni engagement efforts, including outreach to new candidates and enrollment assistance.
- Host informational sessions with students and administration as needed.
Outreach & Partnerships(20%)
- Assist in identifying and building relationships with universities, nonprofits, and potential partners.
- Support coordination of events, workshops, and initiatives to expand Aspire’s impact.
- Represent Aspire Türkiye at networking events and conferences.
Reporting and Evaluation(10%)
- Prepare regular reports on partnership progress, social media performance, and communication outcomes.
- Coordinate with the global Aspire Institute office in Boston and submit updates.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and outreach efforts, recommending improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 1-2 years of experience in communications, social media management, or outreach roles.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in social media content creation and audience engagement.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and digital marketing tools.
- Proficiency in content creation platforms (e.g., Canva or similar).
- Proficiency in using digital communication tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom) to facilitate outreach, collaboration and engagement across the country.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Passion for education, social impact, and Aspire’s mission.
